[ you always try to see the best in people, regardless of their history, and even after the pain you've endured...you continue to do just that.
there have been many who you've given the benefit of the doubt, who turn around and betray you. they play along, acting like everything is fine, you're the best of friends! they gain your trust and learn your weaknesses. and when the time comes...
pain. sadness. and loss.
so much loss...
but here you are, welcoming a new face into your midst. well, the face is new, but the person is not...at least not completely.
Oscar was a normal farm boy, just trying to survive in the world, until he wasn't...and now he is burdened with all these memories of past lives, responsibilities that have been carried through centuries. it's a lot of weight on the shoulders of someone not that much older than yourself.
he may not see much value in himself, but you do, and you know that in time he will see just how worthy he is.
and this is why a simple little reminder, about dinner, turns into a deep and meaningful conversation.(3:55-7:06) ]
[Itsuki smiles as Ruby approaches, because how can he not in the face of her enthusiasm. She's so cute?
Especially when she offers to help him. He looks a little embarrassed, but it's more fond than anything awkward... SPEAKING OF AWKARD??]
This place sure has weird timing...
[he jokes at first, before he watches the memory unspooling in front of him. It's quite strange to see Ruby like this -- solemn, and quiet. Serious, as if she's walking with the weight of the world on her shoulders. And apparently she has, from this conversation she's having with the other boy.
He doesn't know the people Ruby's talking about in the memory, but there's something poignant about the mention of Pyrrha and Penny -- people who... well, they sound a little like Buzen.]
...Keep moving forward, huh? ...That's good advice.
[it feels so strange to be back here, especially now that it's pristine again. Itsuki looks around the room -- he's not sure why he's here, maybe he's just trying to distract himself...
and then sees....
(1) blanket...
...He's not sure who it is, but he has -- a pretty good feeling.]
you've pretty much described how i'm feeling right now that was a lot, huh? seeing percy-kun be saved... i think i felt the lightest i've been since i got here
[ if you happen to come into the library after...everything...you might find a ruby curled up in a corner. there's a small stack of books next to her, but she is not currently reading any of them.
she's fresh out of the pod and laying on one of the cots! her lil arm stump is bandaged up nicely, as well any other wounds. thankfully no longer bleeding like crazy.
looking up when she hears itsuki, a small smile on her face. the red in her hair turns purple to match his! ]
Hey, Itsuki. [ she shivers a little. ] Maybe another one would be nice...haha...
[ purikura!!! ruby's going through the props and costumes bins, trying to decide on what she wants to use. too bad her arm still isn't grown back, so she keeps dropping stuff. coughing up flower petals probably isn't helping.
[ takes the petals and shoves them in her pocket, so she can throw them away later. it's only monday and she's already tired of this effect, it's fine.
she looks up as itsuki becomes a cat boy, a smile on her face.]
[HE DEFINITELY GOT IN ONE IT'S FINE!! half of his face is bandaged and so is his shoulder, but he looks pretty alert for someone who was unconscious in a booth,]
Ru-chan, hey. [...he touches the bandages and laughs a little] ...Would it be vain of me to go back in the pod one more time?
week 1 monday
except the books immediately start wobbling a little and tilt towards her, uh oh]
Shit -- [he's never hit a cute girl with a stack of books before please don't let this be the first time]
no subject
thankfully she has a high dex (and i rolled a 19), so she's able to stop the stack from completely smacking her in the face. ]
Whoa! [ some books hit the floor, while she fumbles to hold the rest in her arms. ]

[he asks, those book corners hurt.... they probably stabbed him a little when he almost dropped them]

Itsuki! [ she runs up to him, smiling wide! ]
I'm glad to see you, here! Thank you, again, for earlier. You really helped cheer me up.
[ she was able to catch the vibes, but was polite and decided against saying anything. but now... ]
And just so you know, I am always here for you, whether you need to vent or need a hand to hold. That's what friends are for!
[ friends also get trapped in magical bubbles, apparently. ]
This again?? Are these things going to keep showing up all week???
[ well. she does the only thing she can do, and that's apply a little color and hope for the best... ]
