[ you always try to see the best in people, regardless of their history, and even after the pain you've endured...you continue to do just that.
there have been many who you've given the benefit of the doubt, who turn around and betray you. they play along, acting like everything is fine, you're the best of friends! they gain your trust and learn your weaknesses. and when the time comes...
pain. sadness. and loss.
so much loss...
but here you are, welcoming a new face into your midst. well, the face is new, but the person is not...at least not completely.
Oscar was a normal farm boy, just trying to survive in the world, until he wasn't...and now he is burdened with all these memories of past lives, responsibilities that have been carried through centuries. it's a lot of weight on the shoulders of someone not that much older than yourself.
he may not see much value in himself, but you do, and you know that in time he will see just how worthy he is.
and this is why a simple little reminder, about dinner, turns into a deep and meaningful conversation.(3:55-7:06) ]
[Itsuki smiles as Ruby approaches, because how can he not in the face of her enthusiasm. She's so cute?
Especially when she offers to help him. He looks a little embarrassed, but it's more fond than anything awkward... SPEAKING OF AWKARD??]
This place sure has weird timing...
[he jokes at first, before he watches the memory unspooling in front of him. It's quite strange to see Ruby like this -- solemn, and quiet. Serious, as if she's walking with the weight of the world on her shoulders. And apparently she has, from this conversation she's having with the other boy.
He doesn't know the people Ruby's talking about in the memory, but there's something poignant about the mention of Pyrrha and Penny -- people who... well, they sound a little like Buzen.]
...Keep moving forward, huh? ...That's good advice.
w3, wednesday 1/2
Itsuki! [ she runs up to him, smiling wide! ]
I'm glad to see you, here! Thank you, again, for earlier. You really helped cheer me up.
[ she was able to catch the vibes, but was polite and decided against saying anything. but now... ]
And just so you know, I am always here for you, whether you need to vent or need a hand to hold. That's what friends are for!
[ friends also get trapped in magical bubbles, apparently. ]
This again?? Are these things going to keep showing up all week???
[ well. she does the only thing she can do, and that's apply a little color and hope for the best... ]
