There was an orchard and a waterfall and gardens, but only nine bedrooms... and there were eleven of us on that ship. We were picked up for this special purpose, but there wasn't even enough room for all of us to be there.

I think that's possible, but it would also require a specific kind of shock...? Something relevant to the actual subject at hand.

We all doubled up to avoid leaving anyone out, but... I guess that means some of us weren't supposed to be there? It's hard to tell because we all kept our powers secret from each other.
